Closed platforms as potentially restrictive as everyone fears?
Mark Fiore, who has been making (somewhat obvious and overly doctrinaire) online comics for over a decade — and was recently awarded the first Pulitzer given to an online only cartoonist — has been cast in the the swamp of rejected Apple Apps. Mired in the muck with porno purveyors and Flash-developers, turns out satire, a protected form a speech good enough for the US Constitution, runs afoul of the mysterious approval matrix exercised by Apple (Neiman Lab, via Gizmodo).
